kedarkantha the best snow trek in uttarkashi.

The Kedarkantha Journey, located in Uttarakhand, is one of the best gems in the Himalayan range, and the trek to the Kedarkantha top is a beautifully redemptive experience.

It’s no surprise that it’s one of the most popular winter treks in India. The tranquil beauty and clear openings, topped with a blanket of snow, are a gift for nature enthusiasts and make for a fantastic Instagram storey.

The Kedarkantha trip is around 20 kilometres long, and the Kedarkantha summit is at a height of 12,500 feet above sea level, providing a spectacular view from the summit. Note that the 20-kilometre distance is the overall distance of the walk up and down combined, however, you only need to cross 10 kilometres in a single stretch.

The Kedarkantha Trek begins in Sankri, a small town, and continues to Juda Ka Taal. The group then proceeds to the Kedarkantha base camp before finally reaching the Kedarkantha peak. The walk lasts 5 days and takes in a variety of sights along the way, including one of the most spectacular sunsets/sunrise views in the world.

Kedarkantha was originally named “Kedarnath,” but a mishap occurred during the sculpting of Lord Shiva’s sculpture, and the sculptures could only be completed up to Shiva’s neck, leading to the name “Kedar-Kantha,” which means “Lord Shiva’s neck.”

The Kedarkantha trip is distinguished from the others by the fact that it is a reasonably challenging walk. Even though it is a beginner-friendly hike, the vista from the summit has a fascinating aura and can sometimes be more tempting than treks designated as tough.

Reaching the top of the Kedarkantha Peak offers its own set of benefits. For starters, you’ll have a 360-degree panorama of the entire Himalayan range. Views from later summits such as Bandar Puch, Swarga Rohini, Kinner Kailash, and others are included.

Trekking is difficult without at least some pre-trip training or a high fundamental level of fitness. Let’s face it, it’s a lot of labour. Sweat is the price of a fantastic journey. Blisters and missing toenails are badges of honour, as are sore calves and aching quads.

In exchange, you get some of the world’s most unspoilt, pure, and jaw-dropping scenery. What’s more, you know what? The more you prepare for a big hike, the less difficult it will be.

This may appear to be the most apparent place to begin (forgive the pun), but you’d be amazed how many individuals fail to do so. What’s the greatest approach to be ready for a long walk? Take some very long walks. Start with short distances and work your way up to the distance you’ll be trekking on your vacation. Allow a day between each walk when you first begin your workout to allow your body to heal. However, when your body improves, aim to complete back-to-back workouts every day to help build your stamina for the demanding nature of a ten-day walk where you won’t have the luxury of rest days. Before you leave, you should be able to easily walk for 4-6 hours. thanks.
